Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. It's more than just an academic experience; it's a vibrant, play-based journey that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and lays a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We use a proprietary expanded bilingual curriculum paired with a PA state approved curriculum, GeeWhiz Education, alongside additional components to enhance social-emotional, cognitive, and language development.
Language and literacy are woven into every part of the day, from group story time with rich vocabulary to meaningful conversations that develop communication skills. Math and science come alive through everyday playful problem solving. Our curriculum also includes music, art, and outdoor play, giving children opportunities to develop their gross motor skills and express themselves creatively. At Cardan Education Center, learning is not rushed. It's guided by the belief that every child develops at their own pace and the process is just as important as the product. Our students receive an experience that feels joyful, engaging, and deeply meaningful that will promote responsibility, independence, and structure.
Cardan Foundations (1 - 2 years): Focuses on learning through play by introducing information through multisensory experiences. Your toddler will engage in hands-on explorations, and be encouraged to identify their own interests.
Cardan Early Learners (2 - 3 years): Our program encourages curiosity through early literacy, science exploration, math, sensory experiences, art, and Spanish. Through age-appropriate activities, intentional play, and hands-on exploration, children strengthen their language, social-emotional, cognitive, motor skills, as they are learning to follow routines. We are intentional about our instruction, to ensure children are forming foundational skills through intellectual curiosity while they are developing the love of lifelong learning.
Cardan Preschool Program (3 - 4 years): Our program encourages curiosity through early literacy, mathematics, science exploration, creative expression, sensory experiences, and Spanish. Children are supported as they learn to communicate their needs, build friendships, follow routines, solve problems, and develop the confidence to explore the world around them. Through age-appropriate activities, intentional play, and hands-on exploration, children strengthen their language, social-emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. We are intentional about our instruction, to ensure children are forming foundational skills through intellectual curiosity while they are developing the love of lifelong learning.
Cardan Pre-K Academy (4 - 5 years): Our Pre-K program encourages independence, curiosity, and a love for learning through interactive lessons, STEAM exploration, and meaningful play experiences. Children will build strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, science, Spanish, and social-emotional development. We provide a nurturing, engaging, and academically enriched environment designed to prepare children for a successful transition into kindergarten and our small class sizes allow for individualized attention and focus on the whole child.
Before & After School Care (5 - 8 years): A structured program for school-age children with homework support and activities.
Summer Camp: Our summer camp programs are designed to keep children physically and mentally active. During the summer, children at our center will follow a grade appropriate academic plan, as well as learn about sports, music, and themed arts and crafts.
